About the Author:

Leslie Stancoven has a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Our Lady of the Lake University (2002) as well as a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M (2000). Leslie became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in 2004. She is a world traveler and has lived many places around the world as a military spouse. When Leslie is not writing, she enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with her family and church community. She is a mother of 3 daughters and a cat lover.

As an author, Leslie has chosen to write her first book, Intimacy Redefined, about how God can assist us in all our relationships. What comes to mind when you think about intimacy? Most dictionaries define intimacy as “a closeness”, but that is just the tip of the iceberg (or the volcano as we will learn). As Leslie explains in the book, many people mistake romance for intimacy.  While romance and intimacy can coexist, they are not the same.

Throughout this book, intimacy is redefined to include what should come to mind in our society when we think about the word, intimacy. In the book, Intimacy Redefined, you will learn how to grow your intimacy with God, as well as with others. You will learn about tools for increasing intimacy in existing relationships, and how and when to create new relationships. Finally, you will learn to establish new ground for your relationships to flourish as you focus on getting closer to God. Achieving a redefined intimacy with God and others is closer than you think.
